The light is rated for 100 minutes to prevent fires from spreading from floor to floor (approved to BS476 Part23).
The housing contains intumescent linings that will expand when heated. This integrated fire hood means that the downlight meets the Building Standards requirements for use in a fire rated ceilings without the need for an additional fire hood.
The 12v transformer is suitable for use with most leading edge and trailing edge dimmers.
The transformer has built in short circuit, surge and overheat protection, for both safety and to prevent premature bulb failure.
The transformer also has large terminals for loop-in loop-out wiring.
The downlight is supplied with an Osram 50w / 12v GU5.3 / 36° / MR16 bulb (ref 44870 WFL). |
